Ford has not yet published official U.S. specifications or pricing for that version, so those details remain unconfirmed.

The notable exception could be the return of the Tremor nameplate. Spy photographs show a Ranger prototype with off-road equipment including a more aggressive front fascia, underbody protection, rock rails, all-terrain tires and other hardware associated with the Tremor name. However, Ford has not published the U.S. model's final equipment list, engine specifications, towing rating or MSRP.
The Ranger is expected to continue with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. The 2.3-liter produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 2.7-liter produces 315 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission. The high-performance Ranger

Four-wheel drive is standard, along with Fox suspension components, 33-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and additional off-road drive modes. The difference between the engines is important for shoppers who want capability without moving into the Raptor. The 2.7-liter V6 adds power but does not increase the Ranger's maximum towing rating, while the Raptor trades some towing and payload capacity for considerably more specialized off-road equipment.

The Ranger is expected to retain its maximum available towing capacity of 7,500 pounds when properly equipped with the available Trailer Tow Package. The rating applies to conventional towing and is available on the regular Ranger lineup; the Raptor has a lower 5,510-pound maximum. That gives the Ranger enough capacity for many recreational trailers, boats, utility trailers and campers without moving up to a full-size pickup. The actual rating depends on configuration, equipment, passengers and cargo.
A Ranger Tremor appears to be in development, but its final U.S. specifications have not been confirmed by Ford. Car and Driver photographed a prototype with 17-inch all-terrain tires, additional underbody protection, rock rails and a distinctive grille; it could be that the Tremor is an off-road model positioned between the FX4-equipped Ranger and the much more extreme Raptor.
That positioning could give Ranger shoppers another choice between a conventional Ranger with the FX4 Off-Road Package and the high-performance Raptor. Until Ford releases official specifications, however, details such as horsepower, ground clearance, towing capacity, pricing and final equipment should be treated as unconfirmed.
The current Ranger's fuel economy varies by engine and drivetrain. The 2.3-liter with rear-wheel drive is rated at 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined. Four-wheel drive lowers that to 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The 2.7-liter V6 is rated at 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined, while the Raptor is rated at 16 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.
Car and Driver recorded 20 mpg on its 75-mph highway test with the 2.7-liter V6 Ranger and 18 mpg with the Raptor. Those are test results rather than EPA ratings, so real-world mileage can vary with speed, cargo, terrain and driving habits.
Official 2027 Ranger pricing has not yet been published by Ford. Edmunds estimates a starting price around $33,000, while Car and Driver currently estimates approximately $36,000 for the 2027 Ranger and about $59,000 for the Ranger Raptor.
These are estimates rather than final manufacturer pricing. The final price will depend on trim, drivetrain, options and whether Ford adds the reported Tremor as a separate model. Buyers planning ahead should expect pricing information to become more definitive as the 2027 Ranger moves closer to its market launch.
